BioTsunade is what you'd call the "unintentional" Hokage. It's not a job she asked for, but it's a job she's willing to do nonetheless.
One of the Legendary Sannin, Tsunade is a master of medical ninjutsu and can summon one of the great three beasts; the slug. Aside from her Sannin moniker, she's also known as "The Legendary Sucker." Just as Jiraiya has a weakness for women and Orochimaru for power, Tsunade's weakness lies in booze and gambling; neither of which she's able to take in moderation.
Despite her faults and occasional irresponsibility, there's more than meets the eyes to her. Behind the bust is a compassionate leader, a tough old broad (though I wouldn't call her that if I were you), and a well-enough natured ninja. She takes pride in her village, her ninja, and her students. And she'd easily give her life to protect all of them.
